tree house divided brings together many strands that have been evident, but separate in Fuentes' work over the past decade—isolation, layering, repetition, place, memory, time, dreams, and distortion. The imagery in these works is inspired by childhood dreams and recent memories.

Each body of work—the large scale photographs, the transparency prints and accompanying zine, and the installation—utilizes different methods to explore how memories and meanings transform as they become layered over the years.
